The race is on for the 2008 Business Woman of the Year

May 27, 2008

Nominations have now closed for the 2008 Business Woman of the Year, but the application process is just about to begin for the prestigious awards to be held at the Novotel Twin Waters Resort on August 12.

While the awards are just around the corner, Kaitlyn Akers, 2007 Professional Business Woman of the Year, knows just how important the submission process is and would like to encourage all those women who have been nominated to apply.

“The application process is an opportunity to really reflect on what you, as a business woman, have achieved. It is a chance for you to put into words the positive aspects of you and your accomplishments – something that is out of the ordinary for most of us,” said Kaitlyn.

Now in its 10th year the awards evening is noted for its professionalism. Many of the past winners have gone on to become finalists of, and even as far as to win, the state and national Telstra Business Awards.

“If you have been nominated for this year's awards, I would sincerely encourage you to apply, as this is a truly rewarding experience both personally and professionally.”

Hosted by the Sunshine Coast Business Women's Network, the awards recognise women who have made an outstanding contribution in business on the Sunshine Coast.

Ends.
