Nominate a business success

March 30, 2007

More than 120 business women from across the Sunshine Coast will come together on Monday 2 April to launch the 2007 Sunshine Coast Business Woman of the Year Awards at the Maroochy Surf Club.

Hosted by the Sunshine Coast Business Women's Network (SCBWN) , the Cocktail Party commencing at 6pm will be a mixture of an award winner's panel , tips and tricks on business success and most importantly, food, drinks and lots of laughs.

A successful business woman herself and President of the SCBWN, Karen Neuendorf said that winning business women bring a passion and commitment to what they do.

“This passion is infectious and it inspires others to go forth and achieve their dreams and desires,” Ms Neuendorf said.

“This is what the “Business Woman of the Year” awards are all about - recognising and rewarding the successful business women on the Sunshine Coast and allowing others to share in their stories so that they too can achieve.”

Guests will be treated to the success stories of last year's award winners through the award winner's panel whilst being encouraged themselves to nominate women they know on the Coast who fit the bill for this year's awards.

Categories include: corporate, micro/small, young, professional and outstanding.

Ms Neuendorf said the “Awards Night” in August has become one of the Sunshine Coast 's most prestigious annual events, and this year will be no exception.

“Each year the SCBWN awards are highly contended, and as the network continues to grow, there are more and more women within the network who are more than worthy of being nominated.”

“So make sure you mark Tuesday 14 August in your diary, as this awards night and gala dinner is one event you will not want to miss!”

Major sponsor, the Sunshine Coast Daily, is once again the sponsor of this year's Outstanding Business Woman of the Year category. Other long-standing sponsors include Garland Waddington Solicitors, sponsor of the Professional Business Woman category, Faculty of Business - University of the Sunshine Coast , sponsor of the Young Business Woman (under 30), Area Consultative Committee, sponsor of the Corporate Business Owner and Smart Advice Pty Ltd, sponsor of the Micro/Small Business Woman category.
