The three-day event is set to attract over 20,000 garden lovers and horticultural professionals to the Sunshine Coast as well as some of Australia's leading gardening experts who will be hosting lectures, demonstrations and workshops, offering free advice and information for garden novices and experts alike. Celebrity photographer to the infamous insect world, Jane Davenport will be presenting her eye-catching ‘Frogology' exhibition of colourful banners for the first time in Queensland . While garden guru Colin Campbell will be encouraging gardeners to ‘get back to basics', providing step-by-step advice to help keep your garden in great condition all year round. Leading landscapers and nurseries are already hard at work designing their full-size garden displays and creating that ‘wow factor' at the entrance to the Expo. The focus of this year's displays will be on water -wise gardening, sustainable living and gardening with native plants, offering visitors a peek at some of the emerging trends for the forthcoming season. “This year's Expo will not only provide visitors with a great deal of information, but also the resources and inspiration create their very own haven in the home and garden,” said Event Manager, Marion Beazley. “We are really excited about the calibre of gardening professionals, displays and exhibitors on show this year and eagerly look forward to what promises to be one of the best gardening events in the country.” All visitors to the Expo will also have the opportunity to go into the draw to win a fantastic Bentley Outdoor Kitchen and BBQ package valued at $3,000, which is proudly being supplied by the Big Cow Outdoor Furniture and Leisure Centre. Special exhibits include the ‘Giant Organic Kitchen Garden' which features permaculture and organic gardening, floral art competitions, as well as a fabulous Shade House feature with all the best in ferns and shade-loving plants. The Expo will also feature tantalising offerings from more than 350 exhibitors including 60 of the best nurseries selling over 40,000 top quality plants with new releases daily.
