Expo fosters local business success stories

29 May, 2008

The Queensland Home Garden Expo is only weeks away and this year will once again see a number of businesses maximise this showcase gardening event to launch new products.

For Peregian-based company, Kamado Cookers Australia, the Home Garden Expo provided a great opportunity not only to get their product into the market, but to promote themselves in a highly targeted environment.

Since launching at last year's Expo, Kamado Cookers have sold their unique Australian inspired barbeque ovens from Darwin to New Zealand and have expanded to include retail distributors in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney and regional Queensland .

Event Manager, Marion Beazley says that the three-day event attracts over 20,000 garden lovers and horticultural professionals each year making it the perfect event for exhibitors to launch and promote new release products.

“The Expo offers exhibitors the opportunity to showcase their products at one of Australia's most respected home and gardening events and provides businesses with a platform for growth and expansion into different markets,” said Marion.

“The successes of the past has seen many return to the Expo every year to either launch new product or promote their existing range. Last year we had to increase the number of sites due to the high demand and I anticipate we will see the same level of interest this year.”

The Expo is not only for newcomers, local multimillion-dollar company Bush Essentials, will be launching a fabulous new product at this year's event.

Pauline Clarke, Director of Bush Essentials, will be on hand to demonstrate the many benefits of the range.

“Last year's Expo proved to be very successful for Bush Essentials and we are extremely excited about the upcoming event and the opportunity to launch our product locally in this highly specialised market," said Pauline.

Another product to be launched at the Expo this year is the Valoriani Hobby Pizza Oven which is exclusively imported from Italy by Yandina-based company, Wood Fire Ovens QLD.

The Expo will also feature tantalising offerings from more than 340 exhibitors including 60 of the best nurseries selling over 40,000 top quality and new release plants daily.

Everything form the latest garden tools, books, accessories, garden art and more will be on site over the three days.

The 24th annual Queensland Home Garden Expo will be held from July 11-13 at the Maroochy Showgrounds, Nambour. For more information please visit www.homegardenexpo.com.au.
