Staged within the world heritage-listed Royal Exhibition Building, the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show held from April 2-6 attracts over 100,000 garden lovers annually and is regarded as the largest horticultural event in the Southern Hemisphere. Attendance at the show provides an excellent platform for the Queensland Home Garden Expo to launch their 2008 promotional campaign and to gain maximise exposure within this market. Among those flying to Melbourne to represent Queensland 's number one gardening event will be Event Organiser, Marion Beazley, who says the international show presents a great opportunity to promote the Sunshine Coast and regional events. “Now in it's twenty-fourth year, the Queensland Home Garden Expo has experienced great success and this year we hope to take the event to new heights by promoting it further a field and hopefully attracting the southern markets to come and experience what the Sunshine Coast has to offer,” said Marion.
