Internationally renowned artomologist to display at Expo

The 2007 Queensland Home Garden Expo is fast approaching and alongside many of Australia 's famous garden shows, the Expo will feature leading landscape designers, hundreds of exhibitors and lectures by our nation's best horticulturalists including world famous artomologist Jane Davenport direct from the Melbourne International Flower Show.

An internationally recognised artist, Jane has combined her love for the garden, passion for photography and obsession with ladybirds to invent artomology.

To demonstrate this amazing art form, Jane will set up a display of around 30 flags showing her amazing photography as a spectacular welcome to the Expo at the Maroochy Showgrounds in Nambour from July 6-8.  

Jane, an artomologist and insect expert, will be sharing her knowledge in two sessions on the main stage throughout the three-day event. She will provide a fun introduction to your garden's beneficial bugs, teach you how to spot the good guys and get an insight into what they are up to and how to get them working harder for you!

Marion Beazley, Expo Event Organiser said that she is really excited about welcoming the world-renowned and award-winning artist to this year's Expo, not only is her artwork truly breathtaking, she is a real testament to what the event has to offer.

“The year's Expo is set to be bigger and better than previous years, featuring top quality exhibitors from around the country as well as Australia's leading gardening experts, making it one of the top gardening events in the country,” said Marion.

Authentic Balinese gazebo revealed as gate prize

The Queensland Home Garden Expo is set to attract over 20,000 garden lovers and horticulture professionals. All visitors to the Expo will also have the opportunity to go into the draw to win a $5,000 authentic Balinese Gazebo.

The Balinese Gazebo will be on show for the duration of the Expo in the Asian Garden as apart of Outdoor living Feature and is proudly donated in partnership by the Home Garden Expo and The Pot Place Buderim.
