Creating the outdoor living experience in your backyard

Ever wondered how designers create the perfect setting for any occasion? Sunshine Coast 's leading wedding and function designers will inspire even the most unimaginative with seven uniquely themed garden settings at this year's 23 rd annual Queensland Home Garden Expo to be held from July 6-8 at the Maroochy Showgrounds, Nambour.

Creative mother daughter duo, Shannon Embery and Lyn Kennedy, of Moments Weddings and Functions will use their own experiences and inspiration in designing seven incredible outdoor living experiences, suitable for any home garden.

“This is a completely new concept, the Outdoor Living Experience will provide visitors with plenty of ideas on how to set the mood and create the perfect garden setting for any occasion,” Lyn Kennedy said.

Be inspired by the Tuscan-styled garden or relax in the wonderfully calm pamper garden, complete with a spa and sauna. Take some time out to wonder through the very romantic Asian garden or just simply take away some great ideas from the complete outdoor kitchen garden.

The centrepiece for this stunning feature will be the two spectacular wedding displays. A modern-style Balinese setting complete with bamboo, Balinese flags and tropical flowers and the Fairytale Garden Wedding - expected to have everyone in awe - featuring a beautiful white silked-lined marquee, draped in opulence and finished with romance-inspired décor.

The team from Moments will be on-site over the three-day event providing loads of inspiration and professional advice from creating atmosphere using simple decorating ideas to planning the ultimate backyard wedding.

““We are looking forward to giving visitors, plenty of inspiration to go home and create the gardens of their dreams and perhaps even host their very own beautiful garden wedding or function,” said Lyn.

The displays will showcase the products of some of Queensland's leading home and garden providers, including their latest plants, landscaping supplies, furniture, décor, water features and marquees to create the perfect backyard setting, giving visitors a taste of what they can easily create with a little imagination.
