Queensland 's top landscape designers, nurseries and leading horticulturists will showcase their creative talents, products and knowledge at the 23 rd annual Queensland Home Garden Expo to be held at Nambour on the Sunshine Coast from 6-8 July.
One of Australia 's largest and most celebrated garden events, the Queensland Home Garden Expo attracts over 20,000 garden lovers and hundreds of horticulture professionals each year.
Alongside many of Australia 's famous garden shows, the Queensland Home Garden Expo features leading landscape designers, hundreds of exhibitors and lectures by our nation's best horticulturalists, which makes this one of the top gardening events in the country.
“The Queensland Home Garden Expo is now ranked number one in Queensland and places amongst the top five gardening events in the country,“ Event Manager, Marion Beazley said.
“The event not only provides a wealth of information and inspiration for visitors, it is also a great and entertaining day out.”
Full-size gardens provide the centrepiece of this stunning annual event. This year's landscaped gardens will focus on unique design concepts such as water-wise gardening, permaculture, sustainability and gardening with native plants.
Special exhibits include the ‘Giant Organic Kitchen Garden' which features permaculture and organic gardening, the new ‘Outdoor Garden Experience' encompassing seven themed garden scapes, floral art competitions, a fabulous Shadehouse feature with all the best in ferns and shade loving plants as well as large displays from Queensland's Garden Clubs and Flora Societies.
Five live stages hosting lectures, demos and workshops will offer free expert advice and information all day, every day from some of Australia 's leading garden gurus.
Radio 4BC's Col Campbell, ABC radio host Annette McFarlane , Brisbane Botanical Gardens Curator Ross McKinnon AM and Phil Dudman, presenter on WIN TV's Gardening Gurus Show, will all be in attendance.
The expo will also feature tantalising offerings from more than 340 exhibitors including 60 of the best nurseries selling over 40,000 top quality and new release plants daily. Everything from the latest garden tools, books, accessories, garden art and more will be on-site over the three days.
