Every year, just on 20,000 garden lovers, including hundreds of horticulture professionals, flock to the Expo - one of the Queensland's largest and most celebrated gardening events.
On par with some of Australia's famous garden shows, such as those in Melbourne and Sydney, the quality of the gardens, exhibits and lectures make this one of the top gardening events in the country. The QLD Home Garden Expo is where Queensland's top landscape designers and nurseries will showcase their creative talents, products and knowledge.
Full-size gardens provide the centerpiece of this stunning annual event. This year's landscaped gardens will focus on unique design concepts such as water-wise gardening, permaculture, sustainability and gardening with native plants.
The expo features tantalizing offerings from more than 340 exhibitors – the latest in garden tools, books, accessories, garden art and more.
Five live stages hosting lectures, demo's and workshops will offer free expert advice and information all day every day, whilst plant exhibitors will have nearly 40,000 plants for sale daily.
Special exhibits include the Giant Kitchen Garden featuring permaculture and organic gardening, major Floral Art competitions, a special kids' at play area and large displays from Queensland's Garden Clubs and Flora Societies.
2007 Event
The 23rd annual QLD Home Garden Expo runs three days, from Friday July 6 to Sunday July 8, 2007 at the Nambour Showgrounds (now renamed Maroochy Showgrounds), Nambour.
Located one hour north of Brisbane on the Bruce Highway, Nambour is gateway to the lovely Sunshine Coast hinterland, Queensland's premier destination.
