9 April 2009

The award-winning Sunshine Coast Concert Band will host a special commemorative Anzac Day concert at the Buderim War Memorial Hall on Sunday, April 19 at 2pm.

The concert will pay tribute to those brave soldiers who have proudly fought to serve their country.

The 40-piece band's repertoire will include a great variety of classics with special solo performances by Ian Edwards and the ever-popular Charlie Simm.

“Those attending will also enjoy impressive trombone, alto sax and tenor sax solos and all in all, the event promises to be a great afternoon of entertainment,” Ken Chadwick said.

“We will remember those who bravely fought for our country with an enjoyable programme including some special war-time favourites and sing-a-longs.”
