A Vietnamese prodigy from Sydney, Van-Anh, will perform as a soloist on the piano playing some favourite melodies including the Hungarian Rhapsody, Chopin and Rachmaninoff. Van Anh will also join the band, lead by Music Director, Ken Chadwick and accompanied by singers Bev Gourlay and Aart Schouten, in one-off performance playing Black and White Rag. Ken Chadwick, is especially excited about the concert as he said that the collaboration of Sunshine Coast Concert Band and pianist will be a special treat for those attending. “Audiences will be blown away by the musical genius of Van-Anh, she is exceptionally talented and we are delighted to have her play with us,” said Ken. The concert starts at 2pm and promises to be a great afternoon out for the whole family. Tickets will be available for $10 at the door and all proceeds go to Heart Reach Australia in aid of the children's sponsorship programs in Vietnam and Sri Lanka.
