Band comes to Coolum in support of High School

The award-winning Sunshine Coast Concert Band will be raising money for a good cause by putting on a variety concert at the Coolum Civic Centre on Sunday June 3 at 2pm, in support of the Coolum High School Chaplaincy Fund.

The Coolum community will be pleased to know, Music Director Ken Chadwick, accompanied by local singers Bev Gourlay and Alan Winter, along with compere Geoff Malcolm, will be visiting Coolum again for their annual visit. Also on the program are Charlie's Angels the excellent Sunshine Coast saxophone quartet led by Charlie Simm.

“The band only goes to Coolum once a year, but the concert is always well received. We are delighted to be able to support such a worthy local cause through one of our concerts,” Ken Chadwick said.

“Those attending the concert will enjoy a variety of tunes from Benny Goodman to Mozart, all in all, the event promises to be a great afternoon of entertainment.”

The Sunshine Coast Concert Band has shown great support towards those in need and as a result raised much need funds for local charities.

The concert will be held at the Coolum Civic Centre, Coolum Beach . Tickets for the concert will be available for purchase at the door for $10, which includes afternoon tea. For more information, please call (07) 5450 6680.
