| Home Clients About us Contact us Results Feedback | Return to 'About Sunshine Coast Concert Band' Big Band digs deep in support of Queensland Cancer CouncilMay 1, 2007 The Sunshine Coast Concert Band will be raising money for a good cause by putting on a variety concert at the Baptist Community Hall in Wises Road Maroochydore on Saturday May 19 at 2pm, in support of The Cancer Council Queensland. The Cancer Council Queensland is dedicated to eliminating cancer and diminishing suffering from cancer through research, treatment, patient care, prevention and early detection. All funds raised will go towards supporting the organisation in providing the best possible health care services and treatment for cancer sufferers across Queensland . The Sunshine Coast Concert Band, led by Music Director Ken Chadwick will be accompanied by local singers Tanya McFadyen and Alan Winter, and the event will be hosted by compere Geoff Malcolm. “We are delighted to be able to support such a worthy local cause through one of our concerts,” Ken Chadwick said. “Those attending the concert will enjoy a variety of tunes from Benny Goodman to Mozart, all in all the event promises to be a great afternoon of entertainment.” The concert will be held at the Baptist Community Centre, Wises Road , Maroochydore. All proceeds raised will be donated to The Cancer Council Queensland. Tickets for the concert will be available for purchase at the door or can be bought from the Queensland Cancer Office on 5443 6300 or 5477 6222 for $10, which includes afternoon tea.
