| Home Clients About us Contact us Results Feedback | Return to 'About the Sunshine Coast Concert Band' Concert Band performs in CoolumJune 7, 2005 The band, led by music director, Ken Chadwick will present a concert featuring Graham Webb from 104.9fm as compere, singers Bev Gourlay, Alan Winter as well as a Men's Fashion show presented by John and Betty Christofis. The repertoire will include a flute trio, trombone trio, alto sax solo of “Misty” and favourites such as Golden Wedding, Army of the Nile March, Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend, As Time goes By, Brazil, Hymn and selections from Annie Get Your Gun. “We like to showcase the talents of our musicians and our programme will give them the opportunity to do so with a number of solos and trios,” Ken Chadwick said. “The Sunshine Coast Concert Band has a wealth of talent including a number of professional musicians who volunteer their time to fundraise for charity. We are delighted to give them the chance to show our audiences what they can do.” Funds raised at the performance will be donated to the Coolum High Chaplaincy Fund and tickets cost $10 including afternoon tea.
